Brian Kitney is an independent Director with over 30 years industry experience in LNG, oil & gas, chemicals and CCS in Australia and Asia. He is currently working with one of the world’s largest gas companies to develop hydrogen and renewable power investments as well as LNG trading, LNG import terminals and clean energy initiatives.
During his career, Brian has held senior industry positions with oversight of major energy project developments, international trade and marine operations. Previous roles include Vice President Commercial at Osaka Gas Australia, Head of LNG Origination at AGL, Vice President Commodities at JPMorgan Securities Japan as well as senior positions at Apache Energy Ltd, Mitsui & Co (Australia) Ltd and CO2Tech.
Brian has obtained an MBA from Curtin University, a Master of Applied Japanese Linguistics and a Graduate Diploma in Diplomacy and Trade from Monash University, a Graduate Diploma from Swinburne University, a Graduate Diploma of Applied Finance from Kaplan and a Diploma of Financial Markets from AFMA. Brian is also a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and was previously Director of a number of Osaka Gas subsidiaries.
